I'm still stressed; here's some more candy.

Pretzel M&M's?!
Meh.  They'll do.  They're basically chocolate-covered pretzels with a higher pretzel-to-chocolate ratio.  My favorite novelty M&M's of all time (Strawberried Peanut Butter) are way better.  Naturally, the almond ones are my favorite "classic" (i.e., non-limited, i.e., original gangster) variety.

Spring Update

I hate my job.
I have to replace my alternator.
I'm returning to school this fall.
Tuesday I'm attending a David Sedaris reading.
Saturday Randa and I are going to a motherfucking Elton John concert.

There, now you're fully updated on my life.

Godiva has "new" spring chocolates.  They're "new" because while they are beautiful and tasty, the flavors have pretty much all been done before.

The designs are made of an edible cocoa butter paint and are applied directly to the chocolate.  These pieces are about an inch long and maybe 1/2 inch thick.

Top row:  dark chocolate black raspberry (this ganache was a seasonal fall truffle in white chocolate), milk chocolate "mandarin" orange
Middle row:  white chocolate pina colada (this filling was actually fairly fluid while the rest were ganache fillings)
Bottom row:  milk chocolate pear (also a seasonal fall truffle, which actually contained apple but no pear), dark chocolate key lime (currently a signature truffle)

I'm still not sure where I'm going with this blog.  I'll probably do some more reviews, but I don't really have a ranking system in mind.  Would I eat these again?  Of course I would.  They're festively springy and fun, but like so many other Godiva products, they are not really novel flavors.
